We Are Blessed!

Our greatest testimony,(other than salvation, for that truly is the greatest miracle) just happens to be our every day physical and spiritual growth.  God has supplied above and beyond our needs from day one. Although our number thus far is few, we have managed to do BIG things with what God has given us. We have never once worried or was concerned with finances.  It has just always been there, far and beyond what we needed to get by.  In just seven years, we have gone from these humble beginnings and prospered into much, much more.  We were able to purchase all the surrounding land, add a playground for the kids, and build a new building, ALL debt free. Then just recently we were also able to purchase the home and land next door.  God continues to prosper and bless us, preparing us for the great vision He has in store for our loving, spirit filled church.

A great healing miracle we have witnessed is that of our very own Serenity Rose Burk.  She was born with three congenial heart defects and later diagnosed with Restrictive Cardiomyopathy.  We were told that her chances of survival were very slim and without a heart transplant, her chances were NONE.  Yet because of our strong faith in our Savior Jesus Christ,  today she is transplant and medication FREE and living as a normal little toddler. As you can see in the picture above and below, she is very healthy! As a matter of fact, she is so healthy that her mother needs prayer just to keep up with her! :) She is into everything!  Praise the Lord!  For more on her story visit our sister site, www.throughthevalleyofserenity.com

God has blessed one of our families with both physical healing and financial miracles. Read these testimonies of how God has blessed Bill and Brenda Walker!

"Hello everybody! My husband and I just thought we would share our miracle with all of you.  See about 1 year ago we needed to get our roof replaced on our house. So we called the housing department of the cherokee indians to see if they could help us. All we asked them to help us do was repair the roof and maybe replace some of the windows.  They sent someone out to inspect the house.  Then awhile later they again wanting to come and inspect the house more.  We said,"ok." When they finished that inspection, they called again to tell us that it would be better to just tear down our house and build us a BRAND NEW HOME.  We couldn't believe it.  Of course we told them,"OK."  We were in shock when they told us it would be cheaper for them to build us a new home rather than repair the old one. In May of 2008, we signed a contract with the indians.  The lady told us that day she didn't know how we got through so quickly, but I told her it was only by God!  She told us there were people on the waiting list for years that were still waiting.  They started tearing down in July of 2008.  Our old house is gone and we are waiting for them to start building our new one.  However, that is not the best part of our miracle.  The best part is, we do not have to pay one penny for our new home.  Now that Has to be God! The indians also are paying the rent for us while they are building.  They also paid for all of our utilities to be transferred to the rental house.  God has been so very good to our little church on the corner in Coffeyville.  We have so many blessings and miracles in our congregation.  We are looking forward to many more blessings and miracles to come.  It shows that if you really love the Lord and are faithful, he supplies all of your needs."  Bill and Brenda Walker

"I would like to share my testimony of what God has done for me.  When I was 35 years old.  I had a massive stroke.  I was paralized on one side.  I wasn't able to speak.  I was married and had two sons.  My youngest was ten. My oldest was fourteen.  My oldest son lived with his mother.  I was in intensive care for three days, not knowing if I was going to make it or not, not knowing if I would see my oldest son again.  The hospital let my younger son in to see me, which never happens. My wife had called her family and church to start praying.  On the fourth day, I was
prevails.  Since I have changed my priorities, we have more now than we ever did before.  God is now first! I hope this inspires others tomoved out of ICU into a regular room.  However, I still had IV's and tubes everywhere.  The doctors told my wife that I would never be the same.  I was afraid! I was scared to even fall asleep and when I would manage to doze off, I would see myself laying in a casket. I didn't sleep for two days.  Then I finally told my wife the reason I couldn't sleep.  She just said, "Have Faith." So we prayed. It didn't take long at all and I was sleeping with no dreams! I don't know how long I slept, but the next thing I knew, the doctors were coming in saying, "We're moving you to rehabilitation." I spent all my time doing physical and speech therapy.  All day long, I would have one hour to eat, then back at it we went.  I was in a wheel chair for one week then I moved to a special cane. I was building strength in my left leg and was moving my left arm a little. Two weeks before I went home, I was on a regular cane. Then it wasn't long before I wasn't using one at all. I spent Thanksgiving in the hospital.  I was released one day before Christmas.  I went home on my own, with no help of any kind. I do wear a brace on my leg, but without God's help I wouldn't have made it.  While in the hospital, the doctor told my wife to file for disability for me.  They said I couldn't work.  I thought, okay how are we supposed to make it for the rest of our lives. My disabled insurance only lasted for six months. I was always taught to support my family.  At the time, my faith wasn't very strong. My wife said again, "Have faith!  God always provides. He never puts more on us than we can handle." During the last week of my disabled insurance, we got a letter from Social Security saying we were approved for disability.  My insurance ran out one week; the next week we received our first check. Doctors once told me that I would never be able to work, but with God's grace I work two hours a day.  It has been a battle with my health. I had two hip surgeries; one major stomach surgery, I spent another 31 days in the hospital, but God brought me out of it all and I'm STILL working. This has really changed my life.  Before I worked all the time.  My wife called me a workaholic. I made my job and money my god.  But now I realize that money isn't everything.  God always
NEVER give up and most of all, put their TRUST IN GOD! He gave me a wonderful wife, who has stood by me through all the trials and on top of all of that I am blessed with six wonderful grandchildren to enjoy."
